Summary: Teen Vogue is as the name suggests the version of Vogue targeting teenage girls. Like its adult counterpart a large proportion of the magazine focuses on fashion, celebrities and other entertainment news. In addition to this the magazine also contains articles about teen issues such as teenage pregnancy, social drinking, etc.
Critical Evaluation
Upon browsing through several issues I would say that 80-90% of the content within these magazines are either advertising, articles or other types of commentaries about fashion and make up the celebrities are wearing or about fashion and makeup in general. The photos are much more high fashion in style compared to Seventeen magazine’s more down to earth and down to earth styles. The feel of the magazine definitely falls in line with its adult counterpart, Vogue, and would be generally suggested for teenage girls looking to see the latest fashion trends.
